BUILDING A POWERFUL TEAM
Team Building is designed to facilitate a group of individuals through the stages of Team Development.  Participants will experience the synergistic benefits of teamwork during the session.  Topics include leadership, follower-ship, customer service, building trust, listening, and communications skills.

SETTING AND ACHIEVING GOALS
Participants will learn the value of establishing goals.  Participants will write measurable goals with a performance improvement focus In addition, a synergic discussion on maintaining the momentum to achieve the goal.

 

VALUING DIVERSITY IN THE WORKPLACE
This session will explore learning more about individual differences within the workplace.  Using short creative exercises participants will increase self-awareness and expand their “Diversity Comfort Zone.”  The focal point of this session is to examine perceptions and discuss the value-added assets of diversity within the workplace.

PREVENTING SEXUAL HARASSMENT
This interactive session will review the Law surrounding sexual harassment prevention; common and uncommon examples of workplace sexual harassment will be discussed and explained. 

MANAGING CHANGE
This session will focus on helping participants raise their awareness of the change process.  Information will be provided on understanding the transitions from denial, resistance, and exploration to commitment.

MANAGING CONFLICT
During the session participant will assess their style of Managing Conflict.  The purpose of this workshop is to give the participant tools for managing and possibly resolving conflict for enhanced productivity and teamwork.  Knowing how to manage conflict is essential in team development.  Several valid instruments will be used. 

COMMUNICATING FOR RESULTS
Participants will learn listening, observing, and speaking skills.  The concepts presented  include learning behaviors that indicate a willingness to communicate. Participants will explore consequences of poor communication.  Practicing good communication habits, developing strong feedback skills, and delivering the Facts Vs Interpretations will be discussed.

 

 

 

 

 

UNDERSTANDING INDIVIDUAL STYLES OF COMMUNICATION
This session will focus on self-awareness using the Myers-Briggs Type indicator (MBTI) assessment tool.  Participants will focus on learning how we take information, process information, and how we make decisions.  The MBTI centers on the strengths of our personalities for improved working relationships.  Fast paced, fun yet focused on learning about self and others.

BALANCING WORK AND FAMILY
This session will take a critical look at time management and how to make time for what is most important to you.  Topics will include Get "A Life without Sacrificing Your Career" and " First Things First".

EFFECTIVE LISTENING
This session provides knowledge and skill building in listening and responding to enhance problem solving and decision making on the job.  An in-class skill practice is the focus.

LEADERS NOT MANAGERS
This program explores the differences between leadership and management.

CONDUCTING EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL
Learn the why and the how of performance appraisals from opening comments to closing statements.  Participants will discuss the integration of performance appraisals (PA) into the performance management strategies.  Topics include how to write the PA, avoiding rating biases, 6 payoffs of PA, legal and fair evaluations.

 

 

 

 
CUSTOMER SERVICE
This motivating session focus is to teach associates to Exceed Expectations of the customer.  Topics includes  customer service vs. customer satisfaction- 80% attitude  20% technique, managing difficult situations, listening, responding vs. reacting.

RESPONSIBLE ASSERTIONS
Responsible Assertion examines the need for developing assertion skills to enhance productivity and problem solving on the job.  This session will help participants identify and eliminate obstacles to becoming more assertive.  The scope of techniques ranges from basic to confronting difficult people.

COACHING TO IMPROVE PERFORMANCE
This learning experience speaks to helping leaders use effective communication skill wrapped in integrity to facilitates, supports, and develops individuals’ knowledge base, skills, and attitudes.  This learning experience helps leaders understand fully the coaching process.  The process of redirecting, supporting, or changing behavior to help maintain/ repeat excellent performance.

GROWING YOUR BUSINESS
This session gives small business owners, the 7 steps structure for growing their business.  The work, people, systems, processes, communication flow, polices, reward and recognition will be discussed.

FROM EMPLOYEE TO SUPERVISOR
This workshop covers 8 areas of management for new supervisors.

SPEAKING WITH SELF-CONFIDENCE
This session offers simple techniques for expressing ideas and given information.  Participants’ will learn to overcome nervousness and other potential barriers to effective communication.
